Bay House Lake View
Adults Only

A warm welcome awaits you from Jill and Phil. Don't be shy give Bay House a try

Bay House Lake View is a traditional Lakeland Stone Victorian villa in the heart of the English Lake District, enjoying a fabulous lakeside location in the old village of Bowness-on-Windermere which nestles picturesquely on the shores of Lake Windermere.
The oldest part of the town Lowside lies hidden from view in a hollow to the north of St Martin’s Church. It is not so much the buildings as the haphazard layout of the area and small details of vernacular architecture that testify to the historic origin of this small area. Fallbarrow Road is the ancient northern approach to the settlement winding its way down from New Hall Bank up to The Old England Hotel. Bay House is situated halfway down Fallbarrow Road opposite the Royal Windermere Yacht Club. Bay House was built by the renowned local builders G.H. Pattinson in 1860 on the site of earlier Fishermans’ cottages and still has the original cellars circa 1750 and is listed as a building of special character by the Lake District National Park

We are only a minute's walk from the many varied shops, bars and restaurants. The famous Beatrix Potter Museum is two minutes away as is the Bowness Pier, where you can enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Lake.
